Playtime is over
In the video below, Guru Siyag gives us the low-down on the Earthly Pleasures.
Now, the two which have me in their grip are food and sex. Normally, when I try to get away from something, I get rid of the offender. Now, is my time to stand within the hellfire, inches from destruction:
- If I choose to engage in sex without a similar partner, I will wreck my spiritual practice. So far, my practice has gotten deeper and deeper while wasting tons of effort on sexual activity (mainly masturbation and mental fantasies). But, again, the inner knowing is speaking. And it is time to make a decision. But instead of getting rid of my sex products. They will sit right there in front of my face. No Catholic priest games. But you have to decide what you want. A brief squirt of joy, or a gushing ocean of bliss.
- I’m in America. There is no fine food that I cannot have – Indian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, American, etc. But I have heard the words the Guru. Hunger is a form of laziness. Food is a form of distraction. It tires you out. Klaus Wolfram may have been hateful, but he was dead on. The only foods which dont tire you out… the only foods which keep you thinking clearly … are fresh ripe fruits. But again, the refrigerator is full of organic meats. Delicious chocolate ice cream. And my shelves are full of books based on the lie that food helps you. And again, you have a decision to make. You have seen the results of gluttony in the food area. You have managed to improve in meditation to this point, but now it is time for another power move… to stack the deck deeper in your favor.
