Guru Siyag’s Siddha Yoga

Unlimited healing, siddhis, self-realization

Your urge creates everything

Bruce Avenelle had a different way of expressing this. He said that attitude affects whether a plane goes up or down. It’s the same thing in this meditation. You basically have to have the ‘right’ intention. I remember when Patricia asked me: ‘what do you want’ and the answer I gave without any planning was ‘totality’.

And lo and behold Guru Siyag has realized this totality.  And so he can pass it on to us.

This meditation only requires going to your deepest deepest intention. And not pushing and demanding but receiving.

I live in a tossed salad

American has been called a melting pot or tossed salad. But whatever it is, the bottom line is that a melange of cultures come together here to create what we have.

Now, when I took initiation from Guru Siyag, I was throwing in the towel on spirituality. I had spent 20 years ambling about with no clear idea of what spirituality was about and what I was supposed to be doing. I had not spent just time, but MONEY and EMOTIONAL SECURITY. I was a big, paranoid, confused person whose pockets were being drained by any group with a halfway good pickup line about what the Purpose of Life is.

And my hat is off the the Church of Scientology, because I really thought I had found home. Ron answered _all_ my questions with amazing integrative vision. And there was a local church. With cute babes. And no end to courses to talk.

Now, I ended up leaving them, and I am realizing that Hinduism has everything that Scientology has in terms of abilities and awareness. And further Guru Siyag offers it all for free.

So, to repeat, once I took initiation from Guru Siyag my attitude was: this is the last spiritual system I get involved with. I will not spend another single dime on any more workshops. And if this doesnt work, then I become a porn star and to hell with spirituality.

So what is interesting is that my former spiritual pursuits are making a comeback, but more to inform my superficial layers and keep them aligned with higher truth.

Cases in point:

Relaxation Bench

I recently bought a relaxation bench. Pradeep criticized me for this, saying that I was taking over where Shakti should be handling things. I bought it anyway and it has helped me tremendously.

The American Book of the Dead

I bought a copy of this recently. I like it’s explanation of the things that assault the Being when it is without a body.

Handbook for Preclears

L. Ron Hubbard is my #1 favorite spiritual person. A true giant. Awesome in every sense of the word. He never admitted it, but he basically presented the Vedas to the West in a way that was appealing to them.

Reichian Therapy

Jack is great Reichian Therapist. .. or rather, I love his book and I love one exercise he put in their which is key to me being a realized being.

He’s a dilettante y’all

That’s right, the major attraction of Guru Siyag’s Siddha Yoga is that it is minimalist. But slowly but surely, I am forming my own way with and around the practice to meet that goal of Self-realization.

Diletanttante to the max, like gag me with a spoon. YOW!

247 meditation

The 15 minutes on the floor twice a day is good, but Guru Siyag says that real progress somes from repeating the mantra around the clock. He also showed me the picture of his Guru with his eyes upward, connected between heaven and earth.

The surrender is as often as you can do it. Attention in the spirit world, let the biological machine take care of itself. This is definitely adequate. While Gurdjieff (and now, EJ Gold) had a labyrinth of exercises for Practical Work on Self, we have just one to achieve the Fourth Way.

The best concentration exercise

It’s interesting how you have to learn from everyone. Personally, I left my work with Sankara Saranam fairly unimpressed with him and some of his derogatory remarks. Nonetheless, he once sent me an email which is solid gold. He said, the

The best concentration exercise is ‘I will concentrate just for this moment’

This works very well.

Another important thing is to do the mantra and then receive. Dont go to grab something that you want – just receive. The Guru is there to give you exactly what you want at your deepest level. RECEIVE IT. Dont make demands about what you think you want. If you knew what was good for you, you would not have taken the time to come to a guru for guidance..

Silent mantra – your pathway to the God realm

Sound is the coarsest expression of The God That You Are. With each repetition of the empowered Secret Mantra, you strengthen the connection between flesh and spirit, becoming more spirit and less flesh.

Since you are eternally Spirit and only temporarily flesh, this is A Good Thing!

Meditation, Quantum Chemistry, and Chinese Finger Traps

Meditation is completely unlike anything else you do. Everything else you do is goal-oriented: you do it to get something out of it.

It’s therefore appropriate to say that meditation is just like a Chinese Finger Trap.

Chinese Finger Trap

A Chinese Finger Trap is a device that tightens on you the harder you try to get out of it. Likewise, if you are unhappy with your current results in meditation, the instinctive response is to fuss and fidget. But doing so only allows the trap to tighten on you more and more.

Look at this description of how to get out of a Chinese Finger Trap:

The trick to escaping the finger trap is to relax, push the ends of the trap inward, toward the middle, thereby enlarging the openings.

And believe it or not, the same thing applies to meditation. The more you try to do. And even the more you try to do not-doing, you dig yourself a deeper and deeper hole!

Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle

Realization cannot be snatched in meditation. The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle is a Quantum Chemistry concept, but we can illustrate the idea with something simple. Let’s say that a spider is afraid of light, but you want to find it. The second you turn on the light, the spider runs out of the light… therefore the more light you cast in order to find the spider, the more the spider runs away!

Fighting with your current state in meditation will fail the same way. Each time you try to improve things, the spider that you want sees the light you are casting and makes a run for it!

Disease

Disease is a similar thing. The more concerned you get about the body, the less at ease you are — the more dis-ease you create. It’s odd, if you don’t care about the body, then the dis-ease disappears. But if you care about the body then the dis-ease persists.

Now on to Bob

One initiate of Guru Siyag is Bob. He called me and said that “nothing was happening” in his meditation. Well, for him to know nothing was happening, he would have to sample a moment in time, evaluate it and then sample another moment and compare them. I once was told, and firmly agree, that real meditation is pure experience. Pure experience. No evaluation. No complaining. No expectation.

Energy Conservation

This meditation system is awesome.  I literally did NOTHING this time and had the most transcendantal experience. But of course that also makes the most sense. What could you do physically, or even energetically, or even mentally and get great results:

THE HIGHER CONTROLS THE LOWER – your body, energy, and mind are _NOTHING_ from the perspective of the ultimate.

The secret mantra is to be recited without moving lips or tongue.

This is most important. It’s also to be recited without moving _ANY_ of your lower vehicles.

Energy Conservation

THe more I do this meditation, the more I am convinced that I dont need certain things. I used to be crazy for women, but now I realize that most of that is nothing but a waste of energy.

“Who are you?” — the biggest trick question there could be.

When someone asks “who are you”"  they are trying to pin you down – force you to limit yourself to something that is nothing more than a consideration.

They are trying to squeeze you into an idea, a space-time point.

Dont fall for it! It’s a trap!

Actually dont call it a trap, a trap is set intentionally. The person deluded enough to ask, is in need of help themselves.

raw food and kundalini

[ posted to kundalist 9/21/08 ]

In this video Gabriel Cousens makes some statements regarding the power of raw foods to alter consciousness. And he offers tons of scientific data on how alive raw foods are versus cooked. And any one who follows a raw food diet reports an increase in ‘energy’.

So the questions are:

* is food an indirect way to get prana?
* is the increase in energy reported on a raw food diet symptomatic of kundalini awakening?
* is Cousens as a Kundalini Shaktipat guru more adept than the other 99% of them who are (probably) cooked food eaters?
* what ’state of consciousness’ do raw fooders achieve that cooked fooders do not? In India, the keyword for heightened consciousness is ’sattvic’, not ‘raw’. Raw food can be tamasic, rajasic, or sattvic. In most raw food diets I see an attempt to recreate the cooked tamasic and rajasic diet. At 7:55 Cousens says that raw fooders they become filled with understanding and wisdom and more of a connection to the ‘Living Field’ — but the living field is far more comprehensive than waking state annamaya kosha consciousness. All actions, everywhere in the universe occur via shakti and one who feels this is said to have experienced Brahman, the all-pervading changeless divine.

Personally: I have experienced tons of difficulties on cooked food since starting with raw food about 10 years ago. I have been beaten into a raw diet. And a simple non-gourmet raw diet. Nonetheless, I am not a naturist raw foodist. I am a transcendentalist and practitioner of a kundalini-based meditation.
My opinion is the same as what Klaus Wolfram stated in ‘Fruits: Best of All Foods’ http://static.livingcosmos.org/fruitarian/wolfram-fruit — all food harms the body, raw food simply does less so.

As transcendentalist, I see the animal drives (food, sex, fear, sleep) as something to be mastered, not celebrated. Thus, I am a minority in the raw foods community, which tends to see Nature and God as one in the same. And all natural acts are godly acts.

Creating a healthy body is nice, but if it leads to a body fetish, then dropping the body (at death) will be an unpleasant experience. It is best to know exactly what you are, where you are, and what you are capable of instead of knowing exactly what a temporal body needs.

in a single clap of thunder, i hear the eternal voice

This whole creation exploded from a single sound. Just as your dreams explode from a single idea of how to create, you can tune in to this whole creation, hear The Voice of The Lord and rejoice!

And twice recently, it has happened. Once it was with the rushing wind. And at another time, it was with rushing wind. I just became happy beyond words and prior to thought.
